Gusmer Enterprises is a leading manufacturer of oak products for the production of alcoholic beverages. As a pioneer in the oak adjunct market, Gusmer introduced the use of Oak-Mor granular oak to the winemaking process in the early 1970’s. Gusmer’s product offering has since expanded to include American and French Oak, chips as well as granular varieties.
Rejuvenate or enhance oak character in barrels during the aging process. Replace barrel aging in some instances. Only the highest quality American and French oak, from premium heartwood, qualify for our programs. Dosage Dose Rate is application specific, but a general range is 10 to 45 lbs / 1,000 gal. Laboratory trials can be used to optimize the dose rate. Contact your Gusmer representative for more information.
Toasted Oak-Mor granular American Oak has been processed to medium plus toast level to provide a strong spicy and smoky aroma along with fresh oak and coconut to add complexity. Sack Size: 40 lbs (18.1 kg) Oak Avantage granular offers the classic aroma of American Oak but in a more refined and elegant style. High in vanilla, this toast also provides flavors of fresh cut oak, and coconut along with the undertones of butterscotch and caramel. Sack Size: 44 lbs (20 kg) After a totally natural seasoning of 18 months minimum, these cask grade woods are granulated to produce a uniform particle size. The oak is toasted by a unique drying process to create a flavor profile of smoky spice and sweet vanilla. Sack Size: 40 lbs (18.1 kg)

Oak Avantage ® American Granular Oak
The staves are cut into a uniform size and toasted to impart delicate flavors of sweet butterscotch. The strong flavors of vanilla and fresh oak that are characteristic of American granular oak are mellow in the chips giving them a different overall profile. Sack Size: 40 lbs (18.1 kg) These oak chips come from totally naturally seasoned woods which produce a clean and sophisticated oak impression that is typical of French oak. It has slightly different aroma profile when compared to French granular with coconut flavor. Sack Size: 44 lbs (20 kg)
